Zoe Schlosser

as the greatest Environmental Science journalist ever...

How you ask?

Mr. Todd's Environmental Science classes are very busy with projects that help the environment. I have been working with Mr. Todd and with Valerie Terando to create articles to be put into newspapers explaining what exactly the classes are doing as well as how it helps the environment. By writing these articles the community will know specifically what the classes are doing and how they help the environment. Organizations are more willing to sponsor events and projects if they know what exactly is going on. Pictures, interviews and descriptions will contribute to my articles. I have started a roughdraft specifically about rain gardens that is to be put in the paper when finished and edited. However there are no pictures of the raingardens we created, so I will have to take some. After I finish the roughdraft I will be handing it to Mr. Todd as well as Ms. Terando for editing and advice on what else to add. I am fortunate to be given this opportunity of publishing my articles. Not only am I excited to share my work, but I am pumped to help others understand what we do in Environmental Sciene, and get a better understanding for myself as well.

Goals:

1. come up with a project
2. find contacts
3. contact them
4. take pictures/detailed notes on activies in class
5. write rough draft
6. have it edited by Mr. Todd
7. send to Mrs. Terando
8. publish in newpaper
9. impact environment and community
